Why do people hate ehren mcghehey

Hartwell was a veteran who had served two tours of duty in Iraq. The two friends had been out that night in celebration of a business deal that involved a documentary they were making together. Photographs appearing on Twitter that night showed Dunn and Hartwell toasting over drinks at a local bar.

Hartwell's father, George Hartwell, told Hollywood Life in that the Hartwell family had no intention of suing the Dunn estate over the accident, saying, "Why would we sue? Zac made the same mistakes In January of , a group of teens in Marysville, CA thought it would be a fun idea to reenact one of the stunts they had seen in " Jackass: The Movie. Sixteen-year-old high school junior and honor student Roberta "Bobbi" MacKinnon sat on a playground merry-go-round while her friend Christopher J.

King, aided by the help of other school friends, attached the merry-go-round to a pickup truck with a piece of rope. King then drove the truck at high speed, resulting in MacKinnon being violently thrown from the merry-go-round onto pavement, fatally injuring her. Sadly, MacKinnon isn't the only person to suffer death due to this same stunt gone wrong.

A German group of daredevils known as the "Bavarian Dumbasses" attempted to replicate it in , this time attaching a year-old man by the name of Tobias to a playground merry-go-round using duct tape. A BMW pulled the merry-go-round with rope, but the duct tape didn't hold, and Tobias was pronounced dead at the scene. In early , year-old Jason Lind , with the help of two friends, doused himself in gasoline and set himself on fire, apparently inspired by two fiery stunts they'd watched Johnny Knoxville perform on "Jackass.

Lind survived, but ended up covered with second and third degree burns. A teen on the scene reportedly told firefighters , "They were playing 'Jackass. Lind's accident wasn't the first time MTV and "Jackass" came under the microscope for possibly inspiring wannabe daredevils to attempt stunts at home.

Despite the numerous verbal and visual warnings the show had already presented to viewers, the Lind incident was the motivation for then-Senator Joe Lieberman to accuse MTV of irresponsible broadcasting, urging the network to move the show to a later time slot, or cancel it entirely. By April of that year, "Jackass" had moved to its new later time slot, and once again changed the wording of their disclaimer.

Lind returned to school that year; as his mother told the Atlantic, "He is glad he is able to walk. Smith's SUV. Smith drove the vehicle around a parking lot, pulling Bieberle, until the shopping cart hit a speed bump, ejecting Bieberle from the cart and killing him at the scene.

Bieberle's father told the Orlando Sentinel that his son had been watching "Jackass," which he believed had "absolutely something to do with the accident. For his part in the horrific events, Smith was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by 11 years' probation. His drivers' license was also permanently revoked. Bieberle's father told the Sentinel, "I'm happy about the guilty conviction, but I would have liked if [Smith] received more years in prison.

There's no shortage of stories and reports of debilitating and deadly accidents that witnesses, police, and emergency personnel at the scene surmised might have been inspired by "Jackass. The incidents include the death of an year-old Norwegian teen who dressed as a mummy and laid down on a highway, requesting that his friends videotape the stunt.

Another involves a year-old named Stephen Paul Raun of Albuquerque, who jumped onto the hood of a friend's moving pickup truck, only to be thrown to the ground, dragged, and killed when the driver slammed on the brakes.

In Indiana, year-old Aaron Brown was killed when the van he was travelling in with friends crashed as they sped across railroad tracks. A videotape with the friends' other stunt attempts was discovered on the scene. As recently as , Baltimore's Mark Ramiro shot his friend Darnell Mitchell , who was wearing a bulletproof vest. Ramiro shot too high, and Mitchell was killed. The two, along with friends, had filmed the stunt with plans to upload it online. Moments before his death, Mitchell told the camera, I'm going to put Baltimore on the map.

The next month, with days of sobriety under his belt, he announced on MySpace that he was returning to "the looney bin" because "I've had horrible mood swings and severe depression.

My brain is fucked up from using so much cocaine, ketamine, PCP, nitrous oxide, and all sorts of other drugs. In March of this year, Steve-O celebrated 12 years sober. Upon a decade of sobriety in , he took to Instagram to express his gratitude for his recovery. Without a doubt, the most tragic of all the Jackass stories belongs to Dunn. Childhood friends with Margera and the CKY Crew, Dunn was a beloved part of the gang who retreated from his buddies after an injury while filming Jackass Number Two in led to a potentially life-threatening blood clot in his shoulder.

While seeking treatment for the injury and his Lyme disease, he fell into a depression and cut off all contact with nearly everyone in his life for two years. He eventually returned to the fold for 's Jackass 3D and began hosting the G4 show Proving Ground in But his life was cut short on June 20 of that year when he drunkenly drove his car into a tree in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania. He and his passenger, Jackass Number Two production assistant Zachary Hartwell , were killed upon impact as the car burst into flames.

Dunn had turned 34 only nine days prior to the accident. Hours before the crash, Dunn had posted a video of himself and Hartwell drinking at a bar and toxicology reports indicated that his blood alcohol level was more than double the state's maximum legal limit. Preliminary investigations suggested that he had been driving between and miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

He was one of my best friends. It completely destroyed me when he died. When he moved here in the ninth grade from Ohio, he immediately ended up in our house and really felt like—I know his mother said—he finally found a place where he needed to be.

He found a home with the boys and who they were filming with. He found something purposeful in his life He was the sweetest man ever. McGhehey's nickname amongst the Jackass guys was "Danger Ehren," owing to his propensity to injure himself or lose teeth in the pursuit of a stunt.

And years later, he's paying for his daredevil ways. Those things are what people remember and it makes people laugh and that was the whole point of it. And I've had many, many injuries from it—25 surgeries including nine knee surgeries and three broken backs. As such, he has a warning for anyone who's ever watched Jackass. I'm here to tell you it's not. You only get one body. Take care of it. Another member of Margera's CKY Crew, Raab, known by his stage name Raab Himself, was struggling with addiction while playing his manic character on the show.

I didn't realize how much I became a slave to drugs and alcohol. I broke my ankle. I need this. And then you justify it to yourself if you broke your arm, you'd need [another painkiller] too.

And before you know it, you're just so caught up in it. Then what happens is people are like, 'Raab, you have a drinking problem, you're doing too many drugs' and you're like, 'I'm not as bad as this person and this person' and you're surrounded by a bunch of drug addicts and alcoholics and you're just pointing the fingers at each other.

Eventually, he realized that if he wanted to get out of Jackass alive, he had to simply get out. I didn't do the second and third movie. I got paranoid about friends I'd end up alone in my condo just doing drugs and drinking and just not wanting to be around anybody," Raab explained, adding that his struggles led him to contemplate suicide.

With nearly a decade of sobriety under his belt, he's admitted that returning to regular life after Jackass wasn't so easy. He was also a heroin addict for 21 years, which he recounted in his memoir Dreamseller. He tried rehab multiple times, and would crash with Margera between stints, which he admitted in a interview with Gorilla Films wasn't the best decision.

It's not like I was running with the most sober of crowds. He would eventually be asked to leave Margera's house during the taping of a episode of Radio Bam for lying about having heroin on him and was later kicked off an Australian tour. In , he was arrested on an outstanding warrant after visiting a hospital for injuries sustained while filming Jackass 3D.
